Please review the enclosed report. Prevlously, you sfgned the Backwater Valve Authorization Form authorizing the City to install a backwater valve at your property. Based on the InspecHon report, we are proceeding with the installation. The City's contrector, Welwest Construction, will he contacting you In February ta schedule the work. lhis will require some excavation on your property. The City will provide you on-site treining on the operation and maintenance of the backwater valve. Mafntenance of the valve and the plumbing, sewer, and dreinage on your property are your responslbility. The fnspection identffied additional site drainagc and plumbing deficiencies in your private drainage and plumbing system and possible repairs, These Include: • Disconnecting downspouts from the side sewer would reduce flow in the side sewer - • Repla�e a portfon of the side sewer to correct sags These deficiencies are your responsibility to address, as you desire. The City is not responsible for fulure sewer or storm damages that may result from improper maintenance of, or deficiencles within, your private plumbing and dreinage system.
