Item #4 — DRY TONS BIOSOLIDS TRANSPORTED AND DISPOSED OF AT <br /> AN APPROVED SITE (Unit Price) , <br /> 1. For the purposes of this Contract, the Contractor shall be paid the unit <br /> price bid for Dry Tons per the amount (by weight) of solids material that is <br /> 111 <br /> weighted and transported from the designated location on the City's <br /> Biosolids Pad to an approved disposal site. <br /> 2. For this contract, the measurement of a Dry Ton includes the weight of I <br /> only solid material contained in each ton of material that crosses the City <br /> owned scale — the weight of the water will not be included. ' <br /> 3. Contractor shall weight each truck prior to and after picking up solids on <br /> the Pad, using the certified scale provided by Owner. I <br /> 4. The calculation of a Dry Ton for payment shall be as per the following <br /> equation and examples: <br /> (Tons of material loaded into a truck) x(Percent TS) <br /> 100 = Dry Tons <br /> Example 1 (Material at 28% TS): <br /> (2 tons of material loaded into a truck) x (28%) 1 <br /> 100 = 0.56 tons of Dry Ton <br /> material for payment. <br /> Example 2 (Material at 31% TS): , <br /> (10 tons of material loaded into a truck) x (31%) <br /> 100 = 3.1 tons of Dry Ton <br /> material for payment. <br /> 5. Payment I <br /> a.
