Their findings indicate that ir,stalling a backwater valve on your property would be beneficial. Please review the enclosed report. Previousiy, you signed the Backwater Valve Authorization Form authorizing the City to install a backwater valve at your property. Based on the inspection report, we are proceeding with the installation. The Citv's oontracbor Archer Construction will be contacting vou in March to schedule the work. This wiil require some excavation on your property. The City will provide you on-site troining on the operation and maintenance of the backwater valve. Maintenance oF the valve and the plumbing, sewer, and drainage on your property are your responsibility. The inspection identified additional site drainage and "plumbing defic:encies in your private drainage and pl�mbing system. These include: . The side sewer has a sag. The sag should be replaced and check bali in floor drain 3' headed east leaving the house and 1'from the wall parallel to drein. These deficiencies are your responsibility to address, as you desire. The City is not responsible for future sewer or storm damages that may result from improper main[enance of, or deficiencies witliin, your private plumbing and drainaae system.
