Their findings indicate that installing a backwater valve on your property would be beneficial. Please revie�a the enclosed report. Previously, you signed the aackwater Valve Authorization Form authorizing the City to install a backwater val•de at your properry. Based on the inspection repert, we are proceeding with lhe installation. The City's contractor, Wehvest Conslruction, will be contading you in February to schedule the work. This will require s�me excavation on your properry. I The City will provide you on-site training on the operation and maintenance of the backwater valve. Maintenancc oF fhe valve and the plumbing, sewer, and drainage on your property are � your responsibiliry. The inspection identified additional site drainege and plumbing � defiaencies in your private drainage and plumhing system. These indude: • Additional work couid be completed to seal exterior walls from groundwater inlrusion • Side sewer is showing signs oF aging and could be relined These deficiencies are your responsibility to address, as you desire.The City is not responsible for future sewer or storm damages that may result fro;n improper maintenance of, or deficiencies within, your private plumbing and drainage system.
