.. <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3729 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the allocation of additional <br /> funds to cover unanticipated expenditures for the Water Depart- <br /> ment for the year 1959 as follows: <br /> Maintenance and Operation $76,000.00 <br /> and declaring an emergency. <br /> WHEREAS, it has been necessary for the Water Department to <br /> purchase a large stock of pipe for expansion of distribution <br /> main replacement program, which could not have been reasonably <br /> anticipated at the time of making the budget for the year 1959, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That an emergency is hereby declared to exist <br /> and the sum of $76,000.00 is hereby allocated to the Water <br /> Department for maintenance and operation to cover expenditures <br /> hereinafter set forth in addition to that provided for in the <br /> budget for the year 1959, to-wit: <br /> Maintenance and Operation $76,000.00 <br /> Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated out of the <br /> Water Fund of the City of Everett the sum of $76,000.00, which <br /> sum shall be paid by the issuance of warrants drawn by the proper <br /> officers of the City of Everett as provided by law. <br /> "7M A 'Y 0 R <br /> Attest: <br /> 1/- <br /> CityCle k <br /> Passed: Sept. 8, 1959 <br /> Published: Sept. 9, 1959 <br />
