. t i SS <br /> a, A <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3720 <br /> AN ORDINANCE annexing certain property to the City of <br /> Everett in compliance with Chapter 128 of the laws of the State <br /> of Washington, 1945, and declaring an emergency to exist. <br /> WHEREAS, a petition in writing signed by the owners of <br /> more than seventy-five percent (75%) in value according to the <br /> assessed valuation for general taxation of the property for <br /> which annexation was petitioned, which petition set forth a <br /> description of the property according to governmental legal sub- <br /> divisions and legal plats, and which petition was accompanied <br /> by a plat and drawing which outlined the boundaries of the <br /> property sought to be annexed, has been filed with the City <br /> Commissioners of the City of Everett, a municipal corporation, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commissioners of the City of Everett, a <br /> municipal corporation, did fix the Tth day oft, 1959 for <br /> hearing upon said petition and caused notice of hearing to be <br /> published in one issue of the Everett Daily Herald, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the city, and caused said notice also <br /> to be posted in three (3) places within the territory proposed <br /> for annexation, which notice as published and as posted <br /> specified the time and place of hearing and invited interested <br /> persons to appear and voice approval or disapproval of the <br /> annexation, and <br /> WHEREAS, following the hearing the Commissioners of <br /> Everett, a municipal corporation, have determined to annex all <br /> of the property described in the petition as hereinafter set <br /> forth, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> SECTION 1: That an emergency is hereby declared to <br /> exist and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and <br /> publication. <br /> SECTION 2: That the property hereinafter described <br /> be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Everett upon <br /> the date of the passage and publication of this ordinance: <br /> Begin at the northwest corner of Tract 35, Plat of High- <br /> land Acres, Snohomish County, Wash. ; th S 88°32'33" E <br /> along the south marginal line of Center Drive in the Plat <br /> of Highland Acres to an intersection with the east marginal <br /> line of West Drive produced southerly, in its present <br /> platted direction in said Plat of Highland Acres; th N 0°43' <br /> 21" W along the east marginal line of said West Drive and <br /> West Drive produced for 639.08 ft. to a point of tangency <br /> with a curve to the right; th following said curve to the <br /> right to an intersection with the west line of Tract 49 of <br /> said Plat of Highland Acres produced southerly in its <br /> present platted direction; th N 4°32,34" W along the West <br /> line of said Tract 49 and said west line produced to an <br /> intersection with the north line of the south 100 ft. of <br /> the east 150 ft. of Tract 48 of said Plat of Highland <br /> Acres produced easterly; th N 88°32 '33" W along the north <br /> line of said sou <br /> th 100 ft. of east 150 ft. of said Tract <br /> 48 and said line produced for 210 ft. , m/1, to an inter- <br /> section with a line 150 ft. westerly of and parallel to the <br /> west marginal line of West Drive; th N 4°32134" W along <br /> said line parallel to the west marginal line of West Drive <br /> for 110 ft. ; th westerly to a point on the west line of <br /> said Tract 48 which point lies N 0°34145'r W 210 ft. from <br /> the southwest corner of said Tract 48; th south 0°34,45" <br /> E along the west line of the Plat of Highland Acres and the <br /> east marginal line of Beverly Lane as platted in the Plat <br /> of Highland Farms and said east marginal line produced for <br /> 949.65 ft. , m/1, to the point of beginning. <br />
