r t. e, l t • ♦ .w , ORDINANCE NO. 3699 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A PORTION OF DARLINGTON PRECINCT TO THE CITY OF EVERETT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST. WHEREAS, pursuant to petition, the Commissioners of Snohomish County, Washington did hold a special election on the 4th day of November, 1958 on the proposition of the annexation of a portion of Darlington Precinct to the City of Everett, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have entered a finding concerning the canvassing and return of vote on said issue and filed a certified copy of such findings with the City Clerk of the City of Everett together with a certified abstract of the vote showing the whole number who voted at the election, the number of votes cast for annexation and the number cast against annexation, and WHEREAS, said certified abstract shows 31 votes for annexa- tion and 24 votes against annexation, and WHEREAS, the City Commissioners of the City of Everett desire to annex said territory to the City of Everett, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That the property hereinafter described be, and the same is hereby annexed on the 1st day of January, 1959 to the City of Everett, a municipal corporation: Begin at the NE corner of Lot 18, Block 1, Queen Anne Addition to Everett, Snohomish County, Wash- ington; th Westerly along the South line of the alley in said Blk. 1 and along the S line of the alleys in Blocks 2 and 3 in said Queen Anne Add. to the west line of Jackson St. as platted in said Queen Anne Add. ; th northerly along the west line of said Jackson St. , 140 ft. to the S line of Grand Ave. as platted in said Queen Anne Add. ; th westerly along the S line of Grand Ave . to a point of inter- section with the E line of Lot 6, Blk. 4 of said Queen Anne Add. ; th southerly along the E lines of Lots 6 and 19, in said Blk. 4 to the S line of Bailey Ave. in said Queen Anne Add. ; th westerly along the S line of said Bailey Ave. to a point of intersection with the E line of the Replat of Lot "X" Darlington, Snohomish Co. , Washington; th northerly along the E line of said Replat of Lot "X"Darlington to the N line of Tract 37 in the said Replat of Lot ''X" Darlington produced easterly in its present platted direction; th westerly along said N line of Tr. 37 produced and the S line of Tracts 1, 2 and 3 of said Replat of Lot ''X" Darlington to the SW corner of said Tr. 3; th northerly along the W line of said Tr. 3 and said W line produced in its present platted direction to the N line of Secondary State Highway No. 1-I; th northeasterly along the said north line of Secondary State Highway to the southwest corner of Tr. 4+1 of the said Replat of Lot "X" ; th northerly along the west line of said Tract 41 to the N line of said Tract 41 and the S line of the G.N.
