44.. <br /> + , <br /> 3c. 17 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 30 <br /> AN ORDINANCE annexing certain property to the City of <br /> Everett in compliance with Chapter 128 of the laws of the State <br /> of Washington, 1945. <br /> WHEREAS, a petition in writing signed by the owners of <br /> more than seventy-five percent (75%) in value according to the <br /> assessed valuation for general taxation of the property for which <br /> annexation was petitioned, which petition set forth a description <br /> of the property according to governmental legal subdivisions and <br /> legal plats, and which petition was accompanied by a plat and <br /> drawing which outlined the boundaries of the property sought to <br /> be annexed, has been filed with the City Commissioners of Everett, <br /> a municipal corporation, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commissioners of the City of Everett, a <br /> municipal corporation, did fix the 30th day of June, 1958 for <br /> hearing upon said petition and caused notice of hearing to be <br /> published in one issue of the Everett Daily Herald, a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the city, and caused said notice also <br /> to be posted in three (3) places within the territory proposed <br /> for annexation, which notice as published and as posted specified <br /> the time and place of hearing and invited interested persons to <br /> appear and voice approval or disapproval of the annexation, and <br /> WHEREAS, following the hearing the Commissioners of Everett, <br /> a municipal corporation, have determined to annex all of the <br /> property described in the petition as hereinafter set forth, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the property hereinafter described be, <br /> and the same is hereby annexed on the 15th day of August <br /> 1958, to Everett, a municipal corporation: <br /> Beginning at the southeast corner of Govt. Lot 1, <br /> Section 1, T 28 N, R 4 East W.M. ; thence S 88°18' <br /> W along the south line of said Govt. Lot 1 for <br /> 664.37 ft. ; thence N 1°13130" W for 126.50 ft. ; <br /> thence N 54°20'05" W for 132.22 ft. ; thence N 38° <br /> 40'07" W for 231.09 ft. ; thence N 20°51 '52" W for <br /> 231.10 ft. ; thence N 7°56'52" W for 154. 39 ft. to <br /> the north line of said Govt. Lot 1; thence N 89°ll ' <br /> 14" E along the north line of said Govt. Lot 1 for <br /> 1006.37 ft. to the northeast corner of said Section <br /> 1; thence south 1°13' 30" E along the east line of <br /> said Govt. Lot 1 for 744.80 ft. to the true point <br /> of beginning. This includes the platted property <br /> in the Plat of Highland Farms No. 2 and the unplatted <br /> property included in the above description. <br /> Section 2: That upon the annexation of the property here- <br /> inabove set forth said land thereof annexed shall become a part <br /> of Everett, a municipal corporation, and shall be subject to <br /> all its laws and ordinances then and thereafter in force, <br /> PROVIDED that no property within the limits of the annexed <br /> territory shall ever be taxed or assessed to pay any portion of <br /> any indebtedness of Everett contracted prior to or existing at <br /> the time of such annexation; nor shall any of the annexed pro- <br /> perty be released from any taxes or assessments levied against <br /> it, or from liability for payment of outstanding bonds or <br /> Warrants issued prior to such annexation. <br />
