- <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3668 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 13 and 35 of Ordinance <br /> No. 3645 entitled: <br /> An Ordinance fixing and determining the number of <br /> the various officers, assistants, deputies and <br /> employees of the City of Everett; prescribing the <br /> duties of such officers, assistants, deputies and <br /> employees; fixing their salaries; providing for <br /> medical services; repealing Ordinance No. 3581 of <br /> the City of Everett; and declaring this ordinance <br /> shall take effect on January 1, 1958. <br /> providing for the elimination of the position of Supt. Bureau of <br /> Identification and creating one additional position of Captain <br /> in the Police Department. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 13 of Ordinance No. 3645 <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> Section 13: POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named officers and <br /> assistants in the Police Department, to-wit: <br /> One Chief; five Captains, one of which shall be <br /> used as Administrative Assistant; fourteen <br /> Sergeants, two of which may be assigned as <br /> supervisors; thirty-one Patrolmen, First Class; <br /> one Patrolman, Second Class; two Patrolmen, <br /> Third Class; two Policewomen; two Clerk- <br /> Stenographers; one Clerk-Stenographer (part <br /> time) . <br /> It shall be the duty of the officers and assistants <br /> in said Police Department to perform the duties indicated <br /> by the name of their employment, and such other duties <br /> as the Chief of Police or Commissioner of Safety may <br /> authorize and direct. <br /> Section 2 : That Section 35 of Ordinance No. 3645 <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> Section 35: POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> Chief $546.00 per mo. <br /> Captains $472.50 per mo. <br /> Capt. used as Admin. Assistant <br /> not over an additional S 25.00 per mo. <br /> Sergeants S441.00 per mo. <br /> Supervisory Sergeants when so <br /> assigned - not over an additional 15.00 per mo. <br /> Patrolmen, First Class 415.00 per mo. <br /> Patrolmen, Second Class 404.50 per mo. <br /> Patrolmen, Third Class not over 383.50 per mo. <br /> Policewoman 394.00 per mo. <br /> Clerk-SteDographer not over 336.00 per mo. <br /> Clerk-Stenographer(part time)" " 157.50 per mo. <br /> Attest: <br /> / <br /> City bier/ <br /> Passed: April 1, 1958 <br /> Published: n 2, 1958 <br />
