A A 1. *4 A ORDINANCE NO. 3656 AN ORDINANCE declaring an emergency to exist and alloca- ing the sum of $50,000.00 for the construction, reconstruction, widening and channelization of U. S. Highway 99, Evergreen Way, from 47th St. to 52nd St. WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Commissioners of the City of Everett that an emergency exists that could not have been foreseen at the time of making the budget for the year 1958, and that it is necessary for the public health and safety that U. S . Highway 99, Evergreen Way, from 47th St. to 52nd St. be improved by construction, reconstruction, widening and channelization at a cost of approximately 650,000.00, and WHEREAS, the State of Washington has agreed to contri- bute a sum not to exceed 625,000.00, and WHEREAS, Hans Solie and Tradewell Stores, Inc . have agreed to contribute not to exceed S18,000.00, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 : That an emergency is hereby declared to exist and the sum of S50,000.00 is hereby appropriated out of the General Current Expense Fund for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, widening and channelization of U. S . Highway 99, Evergreen Way, from 47th St. to 52nd St. Section 2: That the proper officers of the City of Everett are hereby authorized to draw warrants or emergency warrants on said fund for the construction, reconstruction, widening and channelization of U. S. Highway 99, Evergreen Way, from 47th St. to 52nd St. upon approval by the City Council. Section 3 : That upon completion of the project all funds received from the State of Washington, Hans Solie, Trade- well Stores, Inc . and from other sources shall be transferred to and deposited in the General Current Expense Fund of the City of Everett.
