i a <br /> Upon the conviction of any person for reckless <br /> driving, or upon the forfeiture of bail or collateral <br /> for the appearance of any person charged with reckless <br /> driving, the court shall, in addition to any other <br /> penalty fixed, forthwith suspend the vehicle operator' s <br /> license of any such person for a period of not less <br /> than thirty (30) days. <br /> Section 6: That Section 119 of Ordinance No. 3211 be, <br /> and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> Section 119: NEGLIGENT DRIVING. It shall be un- <br /> lawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle in a <br /> negligent manner over and along the public highways, <br /> streets and alleys in this city or over, along or upon <br /> private or public property in this city. For the purpose <br /> of this section to "operate in a negligent manner" shall <br /> be construed to mean the operation of a vehicle upon the <br /> public highways, streets or alleys or over, along or <br /> upon private or public property in this city in such a <br /> manner as to endanger or be likely to endanger any persons <br /> or property. <br /> The offense of operating a vehicle in a negligent <br /> manner shall be considered to be a lesser offense than, <br /> but included in, the offense of operating a vehicle in <br /> a reckless manner, and any person charged with operating <br /> a vehicle in a reckless manner may be convicted of the <br /> lesser offense of operating a vehicle in a negligent <br /> manner. <br /> Any person who in the operation of a motor vehicle <br /> violates any provision of this ordinance shall be prima <br /> facie guilty of the offense of "negligent driving" as <br /> defined in this section. <br /> Section 7: That Section 160 of Ordinance No. 3211 be, <br /> and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> Section 160. ILLEGAL USE OF OPERATOR'S LICENSE <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person to commit any of <br /> the following acts : <br /> (a) To display or cause to permit to be displayed <br /> or have in possession any vehicle operator ' s license <br /> issued by any governmental body or agency knowing the <br /> same to be fictitious or to have been cancelled, revoked, <br /> suspended or altered. <br /> (b) To lend to, or knowingly permit the use of by <br /> one not entitled thereto, any vehicle operator ' s license <br /> issued by any governmental body or agency issued to the <br /> person so lending or permitting the use thereof. <br /> (c) To display or to represent as one ' s own any <br /> vehicle operator ' s license issued by any governmental <br /> body or agency not issued to the person so displaying <br /> the same. <br /> (d) To fail or refuse to surrender to any court, <br /> peace or traffic officer, or the director of licenses <br /> upon demand, any vehicle operator' s license issued by <br /> any governmental body or agency on notice that the same <br /> has been suspended, cancelled or revoked as provided <br /> by law. <br />
