ORDINANCE NO. 3E46 AN ORDINANCE annexing certain property to the City of Everett in compliance with Chapter 128 of the laws of the State of Washington, 1945. WHEREAS, a petition in writing signed by the owners of more than seventy-five percent (750) in value according to the assessed valuation for general taxation of the property for which annexation was petitioned, which petition set forth a description of the property according to governmental legal subdivisions and legal plats, and which petition was accompanied by a plat and drawing which outlined the boundaries of the property sought to be annexed, has been filed with the City Commissioners of Everett, a municipal corporation, and WHEREAS, the Commissioners of the City of Everett, a municipal corporation, did fix the 13th day of November, 1957, for hearing upon said petition and caused notice of hearing to be published in one issue of the Everett Daily Herald, a news- paper of general circulation in the city, and caused said notice also to be posted in three (3) places within the territory proposed for annexation, which notice as published and as posted specified the time and place of hearing and invited interested persons to appear and voice approval or disapproval of the annexation, and WHEREAS, following the hearing the Commissioners of Everett, a municipal corporation, have determined to annex all of the property described in the petition as hereinafter set forth, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 : That the property hereinafter described be, and the same is hereby annexed on the 1st day of January, 1958 to Everett, a municipal corporation: Begin at the NE corner of Lot 18, Blk. 1 of Queen Anne Add. to Everett, Snohomish County,Washington; thence Wly along the S line of the alley in said Elk. 1 and along the S line of the alleys in Elks . 2 and 3 in said Queen Anne Add. , to the west line of Jackson Street as platted in said Queen Anne Add. ; thence Nly along the W line of said Jackson St. 140 ft. to the S line of Grand Ave . as platted in said Queen Anne Add. ; thence Wly along the said S line of Grand Ave . to a point of intersection with the east line of Lot 6, Blk. 4 of said Queen Anne Add. ; th Sly along said E lines of Lots u and 19 in said Elk. 4 to the S line of Bailey Ave. in said Queen Anne Add. ; th Wly alg. the said south line of Bailey Ave. to a point of intersection with the E line of Replat of Lot X Darlington, Snohomish Co. , Washington; thence Nly along the said E line of Replat of Lot X to the north line of Tract 37 in said Replat of Lot X; thence Wly along said N line of said Tract 37 to the W line of Tract 3 in said Replat Lot X; thence Nly along the said W line of Tract 3 and said W line produced in its platted direction to the N line of Secondary State Highway No. 1-1; thence NEly along the N line of said Secondary State Highway to the SW corner of Tract 41 of said Replat of Lot X; thence Nly along the W line of said Tract 41 to the N line of said Tract 41 and the S line of Great Northern Railway Company' s r/w; thence Ely along said north line of Tract 41 and Great Northern Railway r/w to the NE corner of said Tract 41; th Sly along the E line of said Tract 41 to a point 190 ft.
