• <br /> Section 11 : PARKING METER DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named employees in the <br /> Parking Meter Department, to-wit: <br /> One Parking Meter Serviceman and one Assistant <br /> Parking Meter Serviceman. <br /> It shall be the duty of such employees to perform the <br /> duties as directed by the Commissioner of Finance. <br /> DEPARTMENT OF SAFETY <br /> Section 12 : HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named officers and <br /> assistants in the Health Department, to-wit: <br /> One Health Officer (part time) , one Senior <br /> Sanitarian (Milk) , two Senior Sanitarians, <br /> one Meat Inspector (part time) , one Stenographer- <br /> Clerk, one Nurse and one Bacteriologist. <br /> It shall be the duty of such officers and assistants <br /> to perform the duties pertaining to said department under the <br /> direction of the Health Officer and the Commissioner of Safety. <br /> Section 13: POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named officers and <br /> assistants in the Police Department, to-wit: <br /> One Chief; four Captains, one of which shall <br /> be used as Administrative Assistant; one <br /> Supt. Bureau of Identification; fourteen <br /> Sergeants, two of which may be assigned as <br /> supervisors; thirty-one Patrolmen, First Class; <br /> one Patrolman, Second Class; two Patrolmen, <br /> Third Class; two Policewomen; two Clerk- <br /> Stenographers; one Clerk-Stenographer (part <br /> time) . <br /> It shall be the duty of the officers and assistants <br /> in said Police Department to perform the duties indicated by the <br /> name of their employment, and such other duties as the Chief of <br /> Police or Commissioner of Safety may authorize and direct. <br /> Section 14: GARAGE DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named employee in the <br /> Garage Department, to-wit: <br /> One Mechanic. <br /> It shall be the duty of such employee to perform the <br /> duties as directed by the Commissioner of Public Safety. <br /> Section 15 : FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named officers and <br /> assistants in the Fire Department, to-wit: <br /> One Chief; three Battalion Chiefs; one Supt. <br /> Fire & Police Signals; one Asst. Supt. Fire & <br /> Police Signals; two Fire & Police Signal <br /> Technicians; one Fire Marshal; one Asst. Fire <br /> Marshal; one Master Mechanic; sixteen Captains; <br /> one Chief Fire Alarm Operator; three Fire Alarm <br /> Operators; forty-one First Class Pipemen; one <br /> Second Class Pipeman. <br />
