ORDINANCE NO. 3623 <br /> AN ORDINANCE authorizing the transfer of property of the Park <br /> Department to the Sewer Department of the City of Everett in <br /> consideration of $3750.00; providing for the depositing of said <br /> funds in the "Park Fund"; declaring an emergency; allocating <br /> $1750.00 from said Fund to remodeling and redecorating of <br /> Community Center at Legion Park and the sum of $2000.00 for the <br /> completion of heating plant in Floral Hall at Forest Park. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> if <br /> BECTION 1 : That: <br /> Lot 31 of Maple Heights as shown upon the plat thereof <br /> filed for record in the office of the County Auditor <br /> of said County, excepting however from this conveyance <br /> that portion of said lot more particularly described as <br /> follows : Commencing at the southwest corner of said <br /> Lot 31; thence running easterly along the southerly <br /> line of said lot to the westerly line of the road <br /> bordering said lot on the southeast; thence northerly <br /> along the westerly line of said road a distance of 24 ft. ; <br /> thence northerly to the north boundary line of said lot <br /> at a point midway between the northeast and northwest <br /> corners thereof; thence southwesterly along the north <br /> boundary line of said lot to the northwest corner <br /> thereof; thence south along the west boundary line of <br /> said lot to the place of beginning. <br /> is hereby transferred from the Park Department to the Sewer <br /> Department of the City of Everett. <br /> SECTION 2: That $3750.00 is hereby transferred from the <br /> Sewer Department to the Park Department in consideration of the <br /> transfer of property as above set forth, said funds to be <br /> deposited in the ''Park Fund" . <br /> SECTION 3: That at the time of the making of the budget for <br /> the year 1957 it could not have been reasonably foreseen that an <br /> additional sum of $1750.00 would be necessary for remodeling <br /> and redecorating the Community Center at Legion Park and the sum <br /> of $2000.00 for completing heating plant in Floral Hall at <br /> Forest Park, and that such expenditures are necessary for the <br /> immediate preservation of park property. <br /> SECTION 4: That an emergency is hereby declared to exist <br /> and the sum of $1750.00 is hereby appropriated out of the Park <br /> Fund for the purpose of remodeling and redecorating the Com- <br /> munity Center at Legion Park and the sum of $2000.00 for the <br /> completion of heating plant in Floral Hall at Forest Park. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Attest: <br /> City clerk/ <br /> Passed: May 28, 1957 <br /> Published: May 29, 1957 <br />
