r „ ORDINANCE N 0, 3621 AN ORDINANCE amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3197 of the City of Everett entitled: An Ordinance providing for the licensing of all dogs within the corporate limits of the City of Everett; prohibiting dogs from running at large within the corporate limits of the City of Everett during certain periods of time and under certain conditions; pro- hibiting horses, cows, calves, colts, goats or kids, or any other domestic animal, from running at large or being pastured or staked out in the City of Everett, except as otherwise provided; authorizing the impound- ing and destruction of dogs and domestic animals; creating office of pound master; providing for appoint- ment of pound master; providing a penalty and repealing Ordinances No. 1603 and sections 79 through 91, Ordinance No. 2513 and all other ordinances or parts J_ of ordinances in conflict therewith. and declaring an emergency to exist. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 : That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3197 be, and it is hereby amended to read as follows : Section 2 : LICENSE FEES AND REGISTRATION REQUIRED. All dogs kept, harbored or maintained by their owners or agents in the City of Everett shall be licensed and registered if over four (4) months of age . The annual license fee for dogs over four months of age shall be as follows : Each male dog $3 .00 Each female dog 6 .00 provided that if the owner shall certify that such female dog has been spayed then the annual license fee for such spayed female dog shall be reduced by the sum of $2.00. If the license fee above provided for is paid on or be- fore May 15, 1957, or on or before March 15th of each and every year thereafter, the owner and applicant shall be given a discount of $1.00. The annual license fee for dogs reaching the age of four months after any calendar year shall be the amount set forth above less a discount of $1.00 provided said license is secured within thirty (30) days of the date said dog reaches the age of four months . At the time of making application for said license, the owner shall state in said application, on the printed form provided for such purpose, his name and address, the name, breed, color and sex of each dog kept by him. Upon the presentation of such application and tender of the fee provided herein, the Clerk of the City of Everett shall issue a license for such dog. The pro- visions of this section shall not be maintained to apply. to dogs brought into the City for the purpose of participating in any dog show, nor to "seeing eye" dogs properly trained to assist blind persons, when such dogs are actually being used by blind persons for the purpose of aiding them in going from place to place.
