r „ <br /> ORDINANCE N 0, 3621 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3197 of the <br /> City of Everett entitled: <br /> An Ordinance providing for the licensing of all dogs <br /> within the corporate limits of the City of Everett; <br /> prohibiting dogs from running at large within the <br /> corporate limits of the City of Everett during certain <br /> periods of time and under certain conditions; pro- <br /> hibiting horses, cows, calves, colts, goats or kids, <br /> or any other domestic animal, from running at large <br /> or being pastured or staked out in the City of Everett, <br /> except as otherwise provided; authorizing the impound- <br /> ing and destruction of dogs and domestic animals; <br /> creating office of pound master; providing for appoint- <br /> ment of pound master; providing a penalty and repealing <br /> Ordinances No. 1603 and sections 79 through 91, <br /> Ordinance No. 2513 and all other ordinances or parts <br /> J_ <br /> of ordinances in conflict therewith. <br /> and declaring an emergency to exist. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1 : That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3197 be, and it <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> Section 2 : LICENSE FEES AND REGISTRATION REQUIRED. <br /> All dogs kept, harbored or maintained by their owners or <br /> agents in the City of Everett shall be licensed and <br /> registered if over four (4) months of age . The annual <br /> license fee for dogs over four months of age shall be as <br /> follows : <br /> Each male dog $3 .00 <br /> Each female dog 6 .00 <br /> provided that if the owner shall certify that such female <br /> dog has been spayed then the annual license fee for such <br /> spayed female dog shall be reduced by the sum of $2.00. <br /> If the license fee above provided for is paid on or be- <br /> fore May 15, 1957, or on or before March 15th of each <br /> and every year thereafter, the owner and applicant shall <br /> be given a discount of $1.00. The annual license fee <br /> for dogs reaching the age of four months after any <br /> calendar year shall be the amount set forth above less <br /> a discount of $1.00 provided said license is secured <br /> within thirty (30) days of the date said dog reaches the <br /> age of four months . <br /> At the time of making application for said license, the <br /> owner shall state in said application, on the printed <br /> form provided for such purpose, his name and address, <br /> the name, breed, color and sex of each dog kept by him. <br /> Upon the presentation of such application and tender of <br /> the fee provided herein, the Clerk of the City of <br /> Everett shall issue a license for such dog. The pro- <br /> visions of this section shall not be maintained to apply. <br /> to dogs brought into the City for the purpose of <br /> participating in any dog show, nor to "seeing eye" dogs <br /> properly trained to assist blind persons, when such <br /> dogs are actually being used by blind persons for the <br /> purpose of aiding them in going from place to place. <br />
