ORDINANCE NO. 3580 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3536 of <br /> the City of Everett entitled : <br /> An Ordinance providing vacation pay for certain <br /> city employees of the City of Everett and super- <br /> seding Ordinance No. 3275 and declaring an <br /> emergency to exist. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1 : That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3536 of the <br /> City of Everett is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> Section 3: Each employee shall take his vacation in <br /> the year in which it accrues, provided that an employee <br /> may, with the consent of the head of his department as <br /> hereinafter provided, accrue and carry over 10 con- <br /> secutive days vacation rights to the following year. All <br /> other vacation rights shall terminate at the expiration <br /> of the year in which they accrue. An employee desiring <br /> to accrue vacation rights shall make application to the <br /> head of his department on or before May 15th of the year <br /> in which he desires to accrue vacation rights, which <br /> vacation shall be taken in the year following. If the <br /> application shall be rejected the employee shall have <br /> the right to appeal within ten days of rejection to the <br /> commissioner in charge of the department for which he is <br /> employed and the decision of the commissioner shall be <br /> final. <br /> M A Y O R <br /> Attest: <br /> City blerk/ <br /> Passed: Nov. 14, 1956 <br /> 15 <br /> Published: Nov. 21, 1956 <br />
