DECLARATION OF PURPOSE: <br /> The purpose and function of the iI-1 Zone is to provide for and protect certain <br /> areas of the City for heavy manufacturing uses. <br /> B. PER iITTED USES: <br /> 1. B-3 Permitted Uses when such uses are business or commercial. <br /> 2. C-1 Permitted Uses when such uses are business or commercial. <br /> 3. C-2 Permitted Uses when such uses are business or commercial. <br /> 4. 1,11 other uses are permitted outright except those requiring a special per- <br /> mit and listed under "Conditional Uses" and except those listed under <br /> "Prohibited Uses". <br /> 5. Special Property Uses unless prohibited in this Section. <br /> C. CONDITIONAL USES: <br /> The following uses are permitted only by special permit granted by the Plan- <br /> ning Commission: <br /> 1. Blast furnaces or coke ovens. <br /> 2. Cement, lime, gypsum or plaster of paris :Manufacturing. <br /> 3. Dairies. <br /> 4. Stock yards. <br /> 5. Distillation of bones. <br /> 6. Drop forge industries. <br /> 7. Explosives, manufacture or storage. <br /> 8. Fat rendering. <br /> 9. Fertilizer manufacture. <br /> 10. Exterminator and insect poison manufacture. <br /> 11. Special Property Uses unless otherwise prohibited. <br /> D. PROHIBITED USES: <br /> 1. Dwelling units, except for watchman or caretaker. <br /> 2. Hotels, motels <br /> 3. Hospitals <br /> 4. Schools <br /> 5. Playgrounds <br /> 6. Rooming, boarding and lodging houses <br /> 7. Sanitariums, rest homes and homes for the aged <br /> E. MINI 4UU LOT SIZE; GROSS FLOOR AREA RATIO; AND YARD REQUIREIIENTS: <br /> No minimum lot size, gross floor area ratio or yard requirements required. <br /> (Exception: See Section 18-G) <br /> F. OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREiENTS: <br /> Off-street parking shall be provided as specified under Section 17. <br />
