ORDINANCE NO. 3570 <br /> AN ORDINANCE submitting to the qualified electors of the <br /> City of Everett a proposition authorizing a special levy upon <br /> real and personal property in the City of Everett in the year <br /> 1957, payable in the year 1958, of approximately `L)- mills, <br /> which shall be in addition to the 15 mills and other levies <br /> authorized by Article VII, Section 2, as enacted by Amendment 17 <br /> of the Constitution of the State of Washington, for the purpose <br /> of raising $ 180,000.00 for the purpose of acquiring real pro- <br /> perty of the Water Department located at 2809-15 Oakes Avenue, <br /> and to construct and equip a new fire-police alarm building and <br /> garage and install a fire and police alarm signal system therein; <br /> creating a special fund to be known as the Fire Building Fund, <br /> Special Levy; providing for the issuance of warrants on said <br /> fund; providing for the form of ballot to be used at said <br /> election, and declaring an emergency to exist and directing the <br /> County Auditor to hold a special election on November 6, 1956. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: It is hereby found and declared that an emer- <br /> gency exists requiring the submission of the proposition herein <br /> set forth and the County Auditor of Snohomish County is hereby <br /> directed to hold a special election on November 6, 1956 in the <br /> City of Everett in conjunction with the State general election. <br /> for submission of the proposition herein set forth. The City <br /> Clerk is hereby directed to deliver a certified copy of this <br /> ordinance to the County Auditor. <br /> Section 2: That there shall be submitted to the qualified <br /> electors of the City of Everett at a special election to be held <br /> on November 6, 1956, a proposition authorizing the City to levy <br /> a tax upon real and personal property within the City of Everett <br /> in the year 1957, payable in the year 1958, of approximately <br /> 4; mills, which shall be in addition to the 15 mills and <br /> other levies authorized by Article VII, Section 2, as enacted <br /> by Amendment 17 of the Constitution of the State of Washington, <br /> for the purpose of raising $ 180,000.00 for the purpose of <br /> acquiring real property of the Water Department located at 2809- <br /> 15 Oakes Avenue, and to construct and equip a fire-police <br /> alarm building and garage and install a fire and police alarm <br /> signal system therein. <br /> Section 3: That the form of ballot to be used at said <br /> election shall be as follows : <br /> SPECIAL LEVY - FIRE ALARM BUILDING <br /> Shall the City of Everett be authorized to levy in the <br /> year 1957 a tax of approximately 42 mills, which. <br /> shall be in addition to the 15 mills and other levies <br /> authorized by Amendment 17 of the Constitution of the <br /> State of Washington, for the purpose of raising <br /> 180,000.00 for the purpose of acquiring real pro- <br /> perty of the Water Department located at 2809-15 Oakes <br /> Avenue and to construct and equip a new fire-police <br /> alarm building and garage and install a fire and police <br /> alarm signal system therein? <br /> Yes <br /> No / / <br />
