ORDINANCE NO. 3544 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 3496 <br /> OF THE CITY OF EVERETT ENTITLED: <br /> An Ordinance relating to animals; providing <br /> for the appointment of the Snohomish County Humane <br /> Society, a corporation, as Poundmaster for the City <br /> of Everett; providing for the impounding of stray <br /> animals; the disposal of, dead animals, the keeping <br /> ofdangerous animals and defining a public nuisance; <br /> defining offenses and prescribing penalties, and <br /> declaring an emergency. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3496 of <br /> the City of Everett be, and the same is hereby amended to read: <br /> Section 1 : That the Snohomish County Humane Society, <br /> a corporation, existing under Section 16.52.020, Revised <br /> Code of Washington, be, and is hereby appointed as and <br /> declared to be the official poundmaster of the City <br /> of Everett commencing January 1, 1955; and said corpora- <br /> tion shall do all impounding of animals prescribed by <br /> ordinance and shall receive for its services as such <br /> 10M of all money collected for dog license fees and <br /> 106% of all money collected for dangerous animal permits <br /> and for such impounding, and for care and feed of dogs <br /> and other animals impounded. The City Treasurer is <br /> directed to draw and to pay on or before the 10th day of <br /> each calendar month to said corporation by warrant the <br /> sums provided and received by the city for such purpose <br /> during the preceding calendar month.
