ORDINANCE NO. 151 6 <br /> AN ORDINANCE declaring an emergency to exist and allocat- <br /> ing 06,000.00 for the purpose of employing R. W. Beck and Associates <br /> to pripare plans and specifications for city street lighting <br /> project. <br /> WHEREAS, the need for preparation of plans and spec- <br /> ifications for city street lighting project could not have been <br /> reasonably foreseen at the time of making the budget for the year <br /> 1955, and <br /> WHEREAS, said expenditure is necessary for the public <br /> safety, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That an emergency is hereby declared to <br /> exist and that there is hereby allocated the sum of 46,000.00 to <br /> pay the costs and services of R. W. Beck and Associates for <br /> preparing plans and specifications for city street lighting project. <br /> Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated out of the <br /> General Current Expense Fund not otherwise budgeted for the year <br /> 1955 the sum of 46,000.00, which sum shall be paid by the issuance <br /> of warrants drawn on such fund by the proper officers of the City <br /> of Everett as provided by law, and that upon formation of local <br /> improvement district for the construction of city street lighting <br /> project that the General Current Expense Fund be reimbursed for all <br /> expenditures made in connection herewith. <br /> Mayo r <br /> Attest: <br /> City ,Clerl <br /> Passed: juhe 28, 1955 <br /> 1 Published: .Tune 29, 1955 <br />
