Section 19: INSPECTION DEPARTMENT There shall be the following named officers and employees in the Inspection Department, to-wit: One 3uilding Inspector ; one Electrical Inspector; one Plumbing Inspector; one Office Helper (part time). It shall be the duty of such officers and employees to per- form the duties relating to such offices as defined by the ordin- ances of such city, and such other duties as the jornrissioner of Public Works shall authorize and direct. Section 20: STREET DEPARTMENT There shall be the following named officers and assistants in the Street Department, to-wit: One Superintendent; One Clerk; one Auto repairman; one Asst. Auto Repairman; three Foremen; seven Truck Drivers ; one Crusherman; two Donkeymen and Equipment Operators; two Bulldozer Operators ; two Gradermen; two Sweepermen; one Flusherman (night) ; one or more Utility Laborers; one or more may Laborers. Said officers, assistants and employees shall perform the duties pertaining to such office as indicated by the name of their respective employments, and such other duties as the Superintendent of Streets or Commissioner of Public .orks shall, from time to time, authorize and direct. Section 21: WATER DEPART,'iENT There shall be the following named officers, assistants and employees in the Water Department of the City of verett, to-wit: One Superintendent; one Assistant Superintendent; one General Foreman; one Distribution System Foreman; one Clerk; one Accountant; four eater Control Station Operators ; one -Headworks Operator; one or more Senior Engineering Aides ; one Engineering Aide ; one or more Foremen; two elders; one Blacksmith; one Blacksmith's helper; one Inspector; one -assistant Inspector; one or more Heavy Equipment Operators ; one Machinist; one Auto Repairman; one Assistant Auto Repairman; one Serviceman; one or more Servicemen Helpers; one or more ' eter ltiepairmen; one Carpenter; one or more Utility Laborers ; one Senior -bngineer; one Junior Engineer ; one or more Day Laborers ; four Radio Technicians (part time) ; one Basin Patrolman. The Superintendent shall be in general charge and have supervision of the '-Dater Department. The Other officers, assistants and employees shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature of their office and as authorized and directed by the Superintendent of the Rater system and Commissioner of Public '% orks. Section 22: It is the purpose of this Ordinance to fix the number of and description of the permanent assistants, deputies and employees in the various offices of the City of Everett, and nothing herein contained shall be construed ao as to prevent the various officers and various heads of the departments of the Laity of Everett -5-
