` r - $ 111 ORDINANCE NO. 3488 AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of the following described property in the City of Everett, County of Snohomish, State of Vashington, to-wit: That portion of the north-south alley in Blk. 743, Everett Land Company' s First Addition to Everett, '>nohomish County, ''Washington, lying northerly of the northerly line of Lot 18 in said Blk. projected west- erly across said alley, and westerly of a line drawn in a northwesterly-southeasterly direction between the southwest corner of Lot 26 and the northwest corner of Lot 20 in said Block. WHEREAS, the owners of more than two-thirds of the private , property abuttin on said street and alley above described have duly filed their petition with the City Council of Everett, praying for the vacation of said street and alley; and WHEREAS, said City Council of the City of Everett did, by resolution duly adopted, fix the 14th day of October, 1954, at !s 10:00 o ' clock A.M. of said day for the hearing and determination of said petition; and WHEREAS, due and legal notice of the time and place of said hearing and the determination of said petition has been given by the City Clerk in the manner required by law; and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for hearing no persons appeared or made objections to the vacating of the herein described street and alley and no objections of any kind were made to the �1 granting of said petition; and WHEREAS, it now appearing to the City Council that said petition should be granted and said Council does hereby determine to vacate the above described property, NO , ThEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That the property in the City of Everett, County of Snohomish, State of Washington, described as follows, to- wit: That portion of the north-south alley in Elk. 743, Everett Land Company' s First Addition to Everett, Snohomish County, Washington, lying northerly of the northerly line of Lot 18 in said 31k. pro- jected westerly across said alley, and westerly of a line drawn in a northwesterly- southeasterly direction between the south- west corner of Lot 26 and the northwest corner of Lot 20 in said Block be, and the same is hereby vacated, and the title to the land in said street and alley, above described, is hereby declared to vest in the abutting property owners as provided by law.
