<br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 99 of ORDINANCE No. 2513 OF
<br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT ENTITLED:
<br /> An ordinance relating to, and providing for, the licens-
<br /> ing and regulating of certain occupations, businesses,
<br /> vocations, trades, callings, amusements, places of
<br /> amusements, exhibitions, entertainments, animals, motor
<br /> vehicles, places and establishments; defining offenses,
<br /> providing penalties; providing for the revocation and
<br /> suspension of licenses, repealing Ordinances No. 2196,
<br /> 853, 1301, 1503, 1583, 1585, 1595, 1598, 1771, 1851,
<br /> 1932, 1941, 1948, 1964, 2087, 2182, 2249, 2333, 2370
<br /> and 2058, and all other ordinances or parts of ordin-
<br /> ances in conflict herewith.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Section 1: That Section 99 of Ordinance 2513 of the City of
<br /> Everett, be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
<br /> Section 99: For each and every circus, menagerie,
<br /> or trained animal show exhibited within the City of Everett,
<br /> and every person or corporation operating amusement devices
<br /> within the City of Everett, there shall be paid a license fee
<br /> as follows :
<br /> Three Dollars ($3.00) for each and every motor truck or trailer
<br /> upon which such circus, menagerie or trained animal show is trans-
<br /> ported, or Six Dollars ($6.00) for each and every railroad car or
<br /> coach upon which such circus, menagerie or trained animal show is
<br /> transported, including stock cars, flat cars, box cars, passenger
<br /> coaches, sleeping cars, or other kind of conveyance, providing,
<br /> however, that the minbmum fee for any circus, menagerie or trained
<br /> animal show shall be One Hundred and Fifty Dollars (S150.00) .
<br /> For each sideshow conducted by such circus, for which a separate
<br /> admission is charged there shall be an additional license fee
<br /> of Fifteen Dollars ( 15. 00) .
<br /> For each joy ride, merry-go-round, joy wheel, or amusement
<br /> ride, Five Dollars ($5.00) per day or Twenty-five Dollars ( 25.00)
<br /> per year. However, no such license shall permit operation on
<br /> Sunday.
<br /> For any other tent show or amusement given under canvas by a
<br /> traveling exhibitor or company, Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) per day;
<br /> Seventy-five Dollars ($75.00) per week: or Two Hundred Dollars
<br /> ($200.00) per month.
<br /> For each theater, moving picture house, opera house or public
<br /> hall, the annual license fee shall be in the amount equal to
<br /> Fifteen Cents (15 ') for each and every seat or chair contained in
<br /> said place and said license fee shall cover all lawful exhibitions
<br /> or entertainments of any nature given there during the continuance
<br /> of said license; Provided, however, that the license fee to be
<br /> paid by any such theater, moving picture house, opera house or
<br /> public hall shall not in any one year exceed the sum of Two
<br /> Hundred Dollars ($200.00).
