7 <br /> Section 8: PRETREATMEN'J . When at any time it becomes <br /> necessary or desirable to discharge into the Sewer System any <br /> matter from any source which does not conform to the requirements <br /> outlined in Section 4, it is hereby required that before such <br /> matter may be discharged into the Sewer System, the producer there- <br /> of shall pretreat same at his own expense to a degree that will <br /> produce an effluent which does conform to the said requirement. <br /> Such pretreatment plants shall be understood to include grease <br /> traps, chemical or biochemical plants, sedimentation chambers <br /> and any other devices which effect a change of any nature in the <br /> characteristics of the natter being treated. Any and all such <br /> devices and equipment shall be subject to the approval of the <br /> Commissioner of Public Works, shall not be put into operation <br /> without a written permit of approval issued by said Commissioner <br /> shall be provided with all necessary features of construction <br /> to permit inspection of operations and testing of material passing <br /> through them and shall be open to the inspection of the Commissioner <br /> of Public Works at any time. <br /> Section 9: CHARGES AND RATES FOR SEWAGE DISPOSAL. The <br /> classes of users connected and to be connected to the Sanitary <br /> Sewer System or the Combined Sewer System and the charges for <br /> sewage disposal for each are hereby fixed as follows: <br /> (a) For all flat rate water accounts. . . $1.50 per mo. <br /> For all flat rate water accounts <br /> where service is rendered to <br /> multiple living units $1.50 per mo. <br /> for first liv- <br /> ing unit, plus <br /> $1.00 for each <br /> additional liv- <br /> ing unit. <br /> (b) For all metered water accounts paying <br /> up to $50 per month for water. . . . 1/2 of monthly <br /> rate with $1.50 <br /> monthly mini- <br /> mum charge. <br />
