4 • • Said officers, assistants and employees shall perform the duties indicated by the name of their respective employment and such other duties as the City Engineer shall, from time to time, authorize and direct. Section 19: INSPECTION DEPARTMENT There shall be the following named officers and employees in the Inspection Department, to-wit: One Building Inspector; one Electrical Inspector; one Plumbing Inspector; one Office Helper (part time). It shall be the duty of such officers and employees to per- form the duties relating to such offices as defined by the ordinances of such city, and such other duties as the Commissioner of Public Works shall authorize and direct. Section 20: STREET DEPARTMENT There shall be the following named officers and assistants in the Street Department, to-wit: One Superintendent; one Clerk; one Auto Repairman; one Assistant Auto Repairman; four Foremen; nine truck drivers; one Crusherman; one Donkeyman and Equipment Operator; two Bulldozer Operators; two Gradermen; one Yardman; one Night Watchman; one or more Utility Laborers; and one or more Day Laborers. Said officers, assistants and employees shall perform the duties pertaining to such office as indicated by the name of their respective employments, and such other duties as the Superintendent of Streets or Commissioner of rublic Works shall, from time to time, authorize and direct. Section 21: WATER DEPARTMENT There shall be the following named officers assistants and employees in the Water Department of the City of Everett, to-wit: One Superintendent; one Assistant Superintendent; one General Foreman; one Distribution System Foreman; one Clerk; one Accountant; four Water Control Station Operators; one Headworks Operator; one or more Senior Engineering Aides; one Engineering Aide; one or more Foremen; two Welders; one Blacksmith; one Blacksmith's Helper; one Inspector; one Assistant Inspector; one or more Heavy Equipment Operators; one Machinist; one Auto Repairman; one Assistant Auto Repairman; one or more Servicemen; one or more Servicemen Helpers; one or more Meter Repairmen; one Carpenter; one or more Utility Laborers;, one senior Engineer; one Junior Engineer; one or more Day Laborers; four Radio Technicians (part time). The Superintendent shall be in general charge and have supervision of the Water Department. The other officers, assistants and employees shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature of their office and as authorized and directed by the Superintendent of the eater System and Commissioner of Public Works. -5-
