ORDINANCE NO. 3413 <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF SIX POSITIONS <br /> OF INSPECTOR, DEFINING THEIR .utJTli S, FIXING THEIR S.LARIES, PRO- <br /> VIDING DURATION OF E PLO iH'HLNT, ALLOCATING FUNDS AND DECLARING AN <br /> EMERGENCY AND REPEALING ORDINANCE HO. 3393. <br /> rHEREAS, under provisions of Ordinance Jo. 3380 creat- <br /> ing Water Revenue pond Fund Jo. 7 the City of Everett is in the <br /> process of constructing water reservoirs and water tunnel at Lake <br /> Chaplain, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Everett to <br /> employ inspectors for the duration of the construction period to <br /> protect the interests of the City of Everett, and <br /> 1WHEREAS, the City of Everett does not have inspectors <br /> available for such work and has made no provision for these <br /> positions, <br /> NM, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVL .ETT' DOES ORDAIN: . <br /> Section 1: That an emergency is hereby declared to <br /> exist. <br /> Section 2: That six positions of inspector in con- <br /> nection with the construction program as established ey Ordinance <br /> No. 3380 of the City of Everett are hereby created to exist for the <br /> duration of the construction period, <br /> Section 3: That the salary of inspector shall be <br /> ,, 16.20 per day based upon an 8 hour day, together with time and one- <br /> half lor all employment in excess of 40 hours per week for work <br /> from <�ionday to Friday, inclusive, or for any employment on Saturday, <br /> Sunday or legal holidays. <br /> Section 4: That the expenditures herein provided for <br /> shall be paid out of Dater ihevenue Dond r'und No. 7 upon issuance of <br /> warrants properly drawn upon said fund and issued by the proper <br /> officers of the City of Everett, <br /> Section 5: Said inspector shall be under the super- <br /> vision and direction of the Commissioner of Public ',barks and shall <br /> do such work as he shall direct. <br /> Section 6 That Ordinance No. 3393 be, and it is <br /> hereby repealed. <br /> Section 7 : This ordinance shall take effect upon pass- <br /> age and publication. <br /> C <br /> j t. /l'1 <br /> Nayo,,"r <br /> Attest. <br /> t <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: February 24, 1953 <br /> Published: February 25, 1953 <br />
