ORDINANCE NO. 3377 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 38 of Ordinance No. 3328 of <br /> the City of Everett entitled: <br /> AN ORDINANCE relating to the Municipal Water Supply System <br /> of the City of Everett, providing rules and regulations <br /> for the control of said system, regulating the use of <br /> water therefrom, providing for the sale of same, fixing the <br /> price thereof, and providing a method of collecting rates <br /> therefor, providing penalties for violations, and repeal- <br /> ing Ordinance No. 2582 and all other ordinances or parts <br /> of ordinances in conflict herewith. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 38 of Ordinance No. 3328 of the <br /> City of Everett be, and it is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 38: Collection of Accounts. <br /> All water accounts on flat rates shall be due and pay- <br /> able in advance on the first day of each bi-monthly <br /> period, commencing with the month of April, 1952. <br /> Rebates will be made on flat accounts by the Water <br /> Department for vacancies or removals where rates are <br /> paid in advance when notice in writing is given of such <br /> vacancies or removal. Meter rates will be due or pay- <br /> able on or before the 10th of the month following that <br /> in vihich water was supplied. All charges for water <br /> shall be payable at the office of the water Department <br /> to the City Treasurer. If water rates are not paid <br /> within said time, they shall become delinquent and the <br /> water may be immediately shut off from the premises of <br /> any tenant or occupant of the same untill all arrears <br /> are paid, together with a charge of fifty cents (50rZ) <br /> for the expense of inspection and shutting off and <br /> turning on the water. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> City C rk <br /> Passed: May 27, 1952 <br /> Published: May 29, 1952 <br />
