ORDINANCE NO. 3368 AN ORDINANCE authorizing the City of Everett to enter into a contract modifying an existing water supply contract with the Weyerhaeuser `Timber Company by providing for an increase in the rates charged for water furnished the Weyerhaeuser Timber Company, and providing for the sale of additional water; and directing the proper officers of the `ity of Everett to execute and deliver said contract. WHEREAS, the City of Everett has an existing contract with the Feyerhaeuser Timber Company providing for the sale and delivery of water, and WHEREAS, the eyerhaeuser Timber Company desires add- itional water, and WHEREAS, the Weyerhaeuser Timber Company is willing to modify the existing contract to provide for an increase in rates in consideration of an additional supply of water, and WHEREAS, there is now on file with the City Clerk of the City of Everett a copy of the proposed contract for examination by the public, and WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council it is for the 1 best interest of the `'ity to enter into such contract, NOW, THEREFORE, T Fa;; CITY OF EVER '1'T DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That the City of Everett enter into said contract providing for the modification of the existing water con- tract with the Weyerhaeuser Timber Company, providing for an increase in rates from 96.00 a million gallons to ; 7. 50 a million gallons, } and providing for the furnishing of additional water up to a total 1 of nine million gallons per day, all as set forth in proposed con- tract on file with the City Clerk of the City of Everett. Section 2: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver all the necessary instruments to carry into effect the provisions of this ordinance.
