O 3 7 / AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 1, 3, 6 and 7 and re- pealing Sections 2, 4 and 5 of Ordinance No. 1229 entitled: An ordinance approving and adopting certain rules and regulations prescribed by the City of Everett, Washing- ton, for the construction or alteration of the plumbing of any building in said city, and providing a penalty for the violation of said rules and regulations. and repealing Ordinance No. 3116. THE CITY OF EVERE'1'T DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1229 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1: Every person, firm or corporation before the construction, removal, reconstruction or alteration or repair (except as hereinafter provided) of any portion of the plumbing or drainage system of any building or dwelling shall secure a permit from the office of the Inspector of Sewers and Plumbing to perform such work, said permit to be secured as hereinafter pro- vided, Every applicant for a permit as hereinabove required shall first file with the Inspector of Sewers and Plumbing such detailed plans as shall be necessary in the judgment of the Inspector of Sewers and Plumbing to approve said work, and the Inspector of Sewers and Plumbing shall approve said plans within two (2) working days after the filing of said plans unless add- itional information shall be demanded by him, in which event he shall approve or reject said plans within two days after submission of the additional information. That in case he shall reject said plans, the person filing the plans shall be notified in writing of the reason of such rejection. Every applicant at the time of filing his application for permit as hereinabove required shall pay to said office the following fees: For any permit for work requiring inspection $ 1.00 For each fixtures. . .50 For each spptic tank 1.00 For each public swimming pool .. 20.00 For each private swimming pool 10.00 For each catch basin . 1.00 Upon approval of the plans and payment of fees above set forth, a permit shall be issued to the applicant by the Inspector of Sewers and Plumbing. Section 2: That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1229 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 3: No permit shall be required in the case of any repair work as follows: The stopping of leaks in drains, soil waste or vent pipe, provided, however, that should any trap, drainpipe, soil waste or vent pipe be or become defective and it becomes necessary to remove and replace the same with new material in any part or parts, the same shall be considered as new work and
