<br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3340.
<br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of 16th St.
<br /> from Rockefeller Ave. to Baker Ave. by the construction of concret :
<br /> sidewalks at those locations where they do not now exist and by
<br /> doing such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith,
<br /> in accordance with a majority petition therefor; creating an
<br /> assessment district; creating a local improvement district fund
<br /> therefor, and providing for the payment of said improvement by
<br /> special assessment on the property in said district under the mode
<br /> of payment by bonds.
<br /> WHEREAS, there has been heretofore filed with the City
<br /> Council of the City of Everett, a majority petition of the propert
<br /> owners petitioning for said improvement and upon examination there
<br /> of the said City Council has found the things set forth therein to
<br /> be true; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the said Petition has been referred to the
<br /> Commissioner of Public Works to be examined by said Commissioner
<br /> and the City Engineer, and the Commissioner of Public Works has
<br /> filed with the City Council all data and information required by
<br /> law; and
<br /> IhHEREAS, said Commissioner of Public Works has recommend-
<br /> ed to the City Council that said improvement petitioned for be
<br /> made and it appearing to the City Council that said petition and
<br /> improvement is proper in all manners,
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERE1'T DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Section 1: That 16th St. from Rockefeller Ave. to Baker
<br /> Ave. be improved by the construction of concrete sidewalks at
<br /> those locations where they do not now exist and by doing such
<br /> other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, all accord
<br /> ing to the plans and specifications prepared under the direction
<br /> of the City Engineer, and which plans and specifications are here-
<br /> by adopted and approved.
<br /> Section 2: That the cost and expense of such improve-
<br /> ment, including all necessary incidental expense, shall be borne
<br /> by and assessed against the property included in the assessment
<br /> district herein created in accordance with law. The City of
<br /> Everett shall not be liable in any manner for any portion of the
<br /> costs and expenses of such improvement except as provided by
<br /> Chapter 141, Session Laws of 1923, or acts amendatory thereto and
<br /> the ordinances of the City of Everett.
<br /> Section 3: That there is hereby established a local
<br /> improvement district to be known as "Local Improvement District
<br /> No. 621 ", which district shall include the following described
<br /> property located in Everett, Snohomish County, Washington, to-wit:
<br /> Lots 14-19, inc., Block 303, Plat of Everett, Division "N"
<br /> Lots 17-19, inc. , Block 304, Plat of Everett, Division "N"
<br /> Lots 14-16, inc. , Block 305, Plat of Everett, Division "N"
<br /> Portion of Lots 17-19, inc. , Block 305, Plat of Everett,
<br /> Division "N"
<br /> Lots 14-19, inc. , Block 306, Plat of Everett, Division "N"
<br /> Lots 14-19, inc. , Block 307, Plat of Everett, Division "U"
<br /> Lots 14-19, inc. , Block 308, Plat of Everett, Division "U"
<br /> Lots 14-19, inc., Block 309, Plat of Everett, Division "U"
