4 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3318. <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the allocation of additional <br /> funds covering unanticipated expenditures for civilian defense in <br /> the sum of $5,000.00. ,E <br /> WHEREAS, the expenditure for civilian defense for the year <br /> 1951 could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time of making <br /> the budget for the year 1951, and <br /> WHEREAS, it now appears that it will be necessary for the <br /> public health and convenience to provide for civilian defense, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: An emergency is hereby declared to exist and <br /> the sum of $5,000.00 is hereby allocated to cover expenditures for <br /> civilian defense for the City of Everett for the year 1951. <br /> Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated out of the <br /> current general expense fund for the City of Everett not otherwise <br /> budgeted for the year 1951, the sum of $5,000.00, which sum shall <br /> be paid by the issuance of warrants or emergency warrants as the <br /> case may require by the proper officers of the City of Everett as <br /> provided by law. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> V/// /) ,Zv -v9l.G 1',L- <br /> Y <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: January 9th, 1951. <br /> Published: It 10th, 1951. <br />
