AN ORDINANCE providing for the allocation of additional funds to cover unanticipated expenditures for the following depart- ments for the year 1950: MISCELLANEOUS DEPARTMENT Election expenses .`w 710.00 CITY HALL DEPARTMENT Maintenance and operation . 1,000.00 STREET DEPARTMENT Maintenance and operation 3,000.00 TOTAL APPROPRIATION REQUESTED v4,710.00 WHEREAS, the expenditures in the departments for the items hereinabove set forth will be in excess of the amount budgeted for said department and items for the year 1950, and WHEREAS, said expenditures could not have reasonably been Iforeseen at the time of the making of the budget for the year 1950 ' and that it is necessary that said expenditures may be made for the !maintenance of health, welfare and best interests of the City of ; Everett, NON, THEREF OiE, HE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That an emergency exists and the following departments are hereby allocated the following sums to cover the following expenditures in said departments in addition to that pro- vided in the budget for the year 1950, to-wit: MISCELLANEOUS DEPARTMENT Election expenses. . .
