;1- ORDINANCE NO. 3308. AN ORDINANCE amending Section 11 of Ordinance No. 869 of the City of Everett, entitled: • "AN ORDINANCE relating to the removal of garbage, refuse, ashes, filth and other substances in the City of Everett, relating to the licensing of city scavengers, prescribing the powers and duties of such scavengers, regulating the amount of chC4s to be made by them for scavenger work, prescribing the punishment for violation thereof and re- pealing Ordinances No. 33, No. 44 and No. 299 of the City of Everett. " THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Section 11 of Ordinance No. 869 of the City of Everett be amended to read as follows: Section 11: The City Scavenger shall receive no compen- sation from the City of Everett for any services performed for any person, firm or corporation other than the City. Such compensation shall be collected by them from the person or persons, firm or corporation for whom the work shall have been performed. The schedule of charges to be made by the City Scavenger on and after January 1, 1951 , OW, shall be as follows: (a) Residences. Where garbage cans are located accessibly to curb, street or alley from which collection is to be made one can per week $1.00 per month; for each add- itional can over one can per week the charges shall be 50% per month. Where garbage cans are nOt located accessibly a reasonable additional charge shall be made. Persons making payment for such services for three months in advance shall receive a reduction from said rates of ten percent. (b) The charge for collecting garbage and refuse from hotels, restaurants, boarding houses, eating places, apartment house, hospitals and business places shall be as follows: One garbage can per week 41.40 per month; over one can 85% per can per month for each additional can up to six cans per week; for additional cans over six cans per week a charge of 10% per can shall be made. (c) The following charges shall be made for the removal and disposal of dead animals. A cat, dog or other small animal 01.00 per animal. 4 horse, cow or other large animial $6.00 per animal. 1 All payments for such services shall be in advance. (d) Charges made for services performed for which no charge • is expressly provided herein shall be reasonable and any person claiming an unreasonable charge for such ser- vices shall have the right to complain in writing to the City Council of the City of Everett as to such charges, and said City Council shall have the right to
