• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3307. <br /> AN ORDINANCE fixing and determining the number of the <br /> various officers, assistants, deputies and employees of the City of <br /> Everett; prescribing the duties of such officers, assistants, deputie.* <br /> and employees; fixing their salaries; repealing Ordinance No. 3262 <br /> of the City of Everett, and providing that this Ordinance shall take <br /> effect on January 1, 1951. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That beginning January 1, 1951, and on and <br /> after said date, the various officers, assistants, deputies and em- <br /> ployees of the City of Everett, in addition to those provided for in <br /> the Charter of the City of Everett, shall be as in this ordinance pro- <br /> vided. <br /> Section 2: CITY ATTORNEY DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be in the office of the City Attorney a Special <br /> City Attorney, a stenographer and a relief stenographer (part time). <br /> Said Special City Attorney and said stenographer shall per- <br /> form such duties as the City Attorney may authorized and direct. <br /> Section 3: CITY HALL DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be in the City Hall Department one janitor and <br /> one assistant janitor. Said janitor and said assistant janitor shall <br /> perform the janitor work in connection with the City Hall. <br /> Section 4.: LIBRARY DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be in the Library Department the following <br /> named officers, assistants and employees, to-wit: <br /> One Librarian, One Branch Librarian, One Catalogue Librarian, <br /> One Childrens ' Librarian, One Reference Librarian, One Cir- <br /> culation Librarian, One Bindery & Circulation Assistant, One <br /> Circulation Assistant (Juv. Dept. ), One Circulation Clerk, <br /> One Secretary and Bookkeeper, One Circulation & Periodical <br /> Clerk, One Janitor, One Janitress (part time) , One or more <br /> Clerk-Typists (part time) , Extra clerks• <br /> The Librarian shall be in general charge and shall have <br /> supervision of the Library Department. The other officers, assistants, <br /> and employees shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature of <br /> their office and as authorized and directed by the Librarian. <br /> Section 5: CIVIL SERVICE DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be in the Civil Service Department the follow- <br /> ing named officers, to-wit: <br /> One Secretary (part time) ; One Assistant Examiner (part time) ; <br /> One or more Special Examiners (part time). <br /> The Secretary, Assistant Examiner and other assistants <br /> shall perform such duties as the Civil Service Commission shall auth- <br /> orize and direct. <br /> -1- <br />
