I • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3305 <br /> AN ORDINANCE levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for the <br /> fiscal year commencing January 1, 1951, on all taxable property, both real and <br /> personal, in said City, subject to taxation thereon, for the purposes of raising <br /> sufficient revenue to carry on the different departments of said City for the en- <br /> suing year as required by the Charter of the City of Everett and the laws of the <br /> State of Washington; prescribing and apportioning the same into the different <br /> ► funds of said City for the fiscal year, and providing for the collection thereof. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett duly and regularly <br /> adopted as required by the law, the estimate bf the amounts required to meet the <br /> public expense of said City for the ensuing year and the amounts to be raised by <br /> taxation in said City for said ensuing year from sources other than direct tax- <br /> ation; and <br /> WHEREAS, notice that said City Council tentatively completed the <br /> budget for the year 1951, and that a copy of said budget would be furnished any <br /> taxpayer of the City of Everett on application therefor, and that the City Council <br /> of said City would meet in the Council Chamber of the City Hall at 10:00 o'clock <br /> a.m. on the 2nd day of October, 1950, for the purpose of fixing the final budget <br /> and designating the tax levy, and that any taxpayer might appear thereat and be <br /> heard for or against any part of said budget, was published in the official news- <br /> paper in all respects as required by law, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council did on the 2nd day of October, 1950, meet in <br /> the Council Chamber for said purpose and did continue the bearing on said budget <br /> 1 from day to day to the 6th day of October, 1950, for the purpose aforesaid, and <br /> having heard all persons appearing in favor of or against said proposed levy did <br /> then and there make, determine and decide the amount of taxes to be placed upon the <br /> current assessment roll to be in the sum of $378,545.09. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That there be, and hereby is levied upon real and personal <br /> property in the City of Everett, subject to taxation thereon, a general property <br /> tax for munici 1 purposes for the ensuing year, commencing on January 1, 1951, <br /> I± in the sum of 378,545.09. <br /> Section 2: That said taxes shall be apportioned to the various funds <br /> of said City for the year 1951, as follows: <br /> li <br /> General Current Expense Fund. $307,225.00 <br /> Firemen's Pension Fund 21,944.64 <br /> General Water Bond <br /> No. 2 Sinking Fund 32,916.97 <br /> General Water Bond <br /> No. 2 Interest Fund. • 16.45$.L$ <br /> TOTAL $378,545.09 <br /> Section 3: That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby directed to cert- <br /> ify to the County Assessor a copy of this ordinance in order that the same may be <br /> extended upon the general assessment roll of said County, in the same manner and <br /> at the same time as the levy for State and County taxes is extended. <br /> collected, <br /> Section 4: That said taxes shall be , and paid to the City <br /> Treasurer at the same time and in the same manner provided by the laws of the State <br /> of Washington relating to collection of taxes in cities of the first class. <br /> Attest. .... . . <br /> Mayor <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: November 8th, 1950. <br /> ', Published: November 9th, 1950. <br />
