• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3?9n <br /> An Ordinance submitting to the qualified electors of Everett, <br /> a municipal corporation, for adoption or rejection, a proposition <br /> establishing Daylight Saving Time for the City of Everett from two <br /> o 'clock a.m, the last Sunday in April until two o 'clock a.m. the last <br /> Sunday in September of each year. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council deems an emergency to exist re- <br /> quiring that said proposition be presented to the qualified electors <br /> of Everett at a special election to be held at the same time as the <br /> general election is to be held, to-wit: on the first Tuesday after <br /> first Monday in November, being the 7th day of November, 1950. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Daylight Saving Time is hereby established <br /> for the City of Everett for the period commencing at two o ' clock a.m. <br /> on the last Sunday in April and ending at two o 'clock a.m, on the <br /> last Sunday of September of each and every year by advancing Pacific <br /> Standard Time one hour. <br /> Section 2: That the proposition as set forth in Section One <br /> shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the City of Everett <br /> as a proposition on the first Tuesday after first Monday in November, <br /> being the 7th day of November, 1950. <br /> Section 3: The form of the ballot to be used in said <br /> election shall be as follows: <br /> Shall the City of Everett establish Daylight Saving Time by <br /> advancing Pacific Standard Time one hour during the period from two <br /> o 'clock a.m. the last Sunday in April until two o 'clock a.m. the last <br /> Sunday in September of each year. <br /> YES Q <br /> NO / / <br /> Section 4: That, upon passage and publication of this <br /> Ordinance, the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> proceed to call said special election on the first Tuesday after first <br /> Monday in November, being the 7tn day of November, 195o, as provided <br /> by law. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> ) 4 <br /> 1: <br /> .-ty C erk <br /> Passed : Sentember 12, 1950 <br /> Published: September 13, 1950 <br />
