r <br /> a , • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3295. <br /> An Ordinance approving and confirming the assessment and <br /> assessment roll of Local Improvement District No. 608 for the im- <br /> provement of Highland Avenue from 20th Street to the north line of <br /> Saint Nicholas Addition to Everett; by constructing concrete side- <br /> walks with an integral curb; providing for the necessary surface <br /> drainage; doing such other work as may be necessary in connection <br /> therewith, in accordance with a petition presented by the owners <br /> of seventy-five (75o)• per cent of the lineal frontage upon the <br /> improvement and seventy-five (75A per cent of the owners of the <br /> area of the property within the improvement, requesting that the <br /> limitation of the assessment be raised to twice the assessed value <br /> to finance the improvement, as provided by Ordinance No. 3270 of <br /> the City of Everett, levying an assessment on account thereof <br /> against the several lots, tracts and parcels of land or other pro- <br /> perty as shown on said roll; providing for the issuance of bonds <br /> therefore, and fixing the date of issue thereof. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES OiDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the assessment and assessment roll of <br /> Local Improvement District No. 608 for the improvement of Highland <br /> Avenue from 20th Street to the north line of Saint Nicholas Add- <br /> ition to Everett; by constructing concrete sidewalks with an in- <br /> tegral curb; providing for the necessary surface drainage; doing <br /> such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, in <br /> accordance with a petition presented by the owners of seventy- <br /> five (75b) per cent of the lineal frontage upon the improvement <br /> and seventy-five (75o) per cent of the owners of the area of the <br /> property within the improvement, requesting that the limitation <br /> of the assessment be raised to twice the assessed value to finance <br /> the improvement, as provided by Ordinance No. 3270 of the City of <br /> Everett, as the same now stands, be, and the same is hereby in all <br /> things approved and confirmed. <br /> Section 2: That each of the lots, tracts and parcels of <br /> land as shown by said roll is hereby declared to be especially <br /> benefited by said improvement in at least the amount charged <br /> against the same, and that there is hereby levied an assessment <br /> against said lot, tract and parcel of land, or other property <br /> appearing on said roll in the amount finally charged against the <br /> same. <br /> Section 3: That the 25th day of October , 1950, is <br /> hereby fixed as the date of the issuance of the bonds required to <br /> be issued on account of said improvement. <br /> Section 4 That the sum charged against each lot, tract <br /> and parcel of land and other property, or any portion of such sum, <br /> may be paid during the thirty-day period following the date of <br /> first publication by the Treasurer that such assessment roll has <br /> been placed in his hands for collection. <br /> Section 5: That the City of Everett may sell said bonds <br /> and make payments in cash in the manner provided by the ordinances <br /> of said City. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTE : <br /> • <br /> ity C er - <br /> Passed: August 29th, 1950. <br /> Published: " 3Oth, 1950. <br />
