<br /> ORDINANCE NO.
<br /> An Ordinance providing for the improvement of Hoyt Avenue
<br /> from Hewitt Avenue to California Street by the installation of a
<br /> street electric lighting system. Said system is to include trench-
<br /> ing, laying cable, resurfacing, laying conduit where necessary,
<br /> installing posts and light units and all other material and by do-
<br /> ing all other work necessary to make a complete improvement, all
<br /> in accordance with Resolution No. 5454 of the City of Everett ;
<br /> creating a local improvement district ; creating a local improve-
<br /> ment district fund therefor, and providing for the payment of said
<br /> improvement by special assessment on the property in said district
<br /> under the mode of payment by bonds.
<br /> NHEREAS, by Resolution No. 5454 of the City of Everett,
<br /> the City Council has declared its intention to order the improve-
<br /> ment as above outlined, and doing all work in connection therewith
<br /> to make a complete improvement in accordance with the plans and
<br /> specifications as prepared by the City Engineer of the City of
<br /> verett,
<br /> NON, THEREFORE, THE CITI OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Section i: That Hoyt Avenue from newitt Avenue to Calif-
<br /> ornia street shall be improved by the installation of a street
<br /> electric lighting system. Said system is to include trenching,
<br /> laying cable, resurfacing, laying conduit whore necessary, instal-
<br /> ling posts and light units and all other material, and, all other
<br /> work necessary to make a complete improvement , all according to
<br /> the plans and specifications prepared under the direction of the
<br /> City Engineer, and whici plans and specifications are hereby adopt-
<br /> ed and approved.
<br /> Section 2: That the cost and expenses of such improve-
<br /> ment, including all necessary incidental expenses, shall be borne
<br /> by and assessed against the property included in the assessment
<br /> district herein created in accordance with law. The City of
<br /> Everett shall not be liable in any manner for any portion of the
<br /> costs and expenses of such improvement except as provided, by Chap-
<br /> ter 141, Session Laws of 1923, or acts amendatory thereto and the
<br /> ordinances of the City of Everett .
<br /> Section 0: That there is hereby established a local im-
<br /> provement district to be known as "Local Improvement District No.
<br /> which district shall include the following described pro-
<br /> perty located in Everett, Snohomish County, ;iashington, to-wit :
<br /> Lots A and B, Block 668, flat of the Tunnel Add. to nverett
<br /> Lots 1-8, inc. , 8A, 9-10, inc. , 31s. 668, Plat of Everett
<br /> Lots C and D, 31k 669, Plat of the Tunnel Add . to Everett
<br /> Lots 14-18, inc. 18A, 19-26, inc. 31k 669, Plat of Everett
<br /> Section 4: A special fund is hereby created to be called
<br /> "Local Improvement Fund No. 6-7 -", which shall consist in tne ag-
<br /> •regate of the several amounts assessed, levied, and collected on
<br /> • he several lots, tracts, and parcels of land in said, local im-
<br /> rovement district and, the proceeds of the sale of the bonds in
