• r
Drew Martin
From: Drew Martin
Sent: Monday, March 22, 2021 2:23 PM
To: yuhua.g2@gmail.com
Subject: City of Everett Permit Services: 11014 19th Avenue SE, Suite 18A (B2103-043) - First
Building Intake Review
Hello Ms. Zhang,
Your application has been received and a permit set up. However, the submitted documents are not sufficient
for us to perform a review at this time. Construction-level documents need to be submitted for
review. Preliminary comments are provided below to assist in preparing the drawings, but these are not
intended to provide a comprehensive review. Depending on your experience with the model codes and
preparing documents, we recommend consulting with a design professional to assist you.
1. Construction-level drawings should be submitted for review. The drawings should show the entire
space drawing to scale. All walls should be drawn at a nominal thickness (e.g., 6", etc.).
2. Details for the construction of the new interior walls should be provided. The details should include
top and bottom connections to the supporting structure. Where walls are not continuous to the roof
above, braces should be provided.
3. The space includes a new "Table Shower" room. Addition detailing for this room should be
provided. It is presumed the room will need to comply IBC Section 1209.2.3. The facilities should also
comply with accessibility requirements per IBC Section 1101.2 and ICC A117.1-09 Chapter 6.
4. All doors have a minimum 32-inch width per IBC Section 1010.1.1.
5. The configuration of the restroom should be shown. The restroom should comply with the
requirements of IBC Section 1210. The restrooms should be accessible per IBC Section 1101.2 and ICC
A117.1-09 Chapter 6. The doorways and paths should comply with the accessibility requirements of
ICC A117.1-09 Chapter 3 and Figure 404.2.3.2.
6. The bathroom and "Table Shower" room should be provided with exhaust fans per the 2018 IMC.
Review of your project will be performed in the order received once the required documentation has been
submitted. Please let me know if you have questions.
Drew Martin,P.E.,S.E.
mAssociate Engineer—Commercial Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8813 13200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT Hours: M/W/Th/F: 7:30am-12:00pm & 1:OOpm-3:00pm;Tu: 1:O0pm-3:00pm
everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
COVID-19 Update: Please reference our website& online resources for updates to our service during the
COVID-19 pandemic.
