How many down spouts are currently connected to the sewer: 0 <br /> Does side sewer have slope: yes, 1-2% <br /> Depth of side sewer 10ft from house: 4'8" <br /> Sewer Report: <br /> Material: Cast iron and concrete <br /> Sewer Length: 97' <br /> Condition: Good overall shape but needs Jetting due to grease <br /> Explain: Lots of grease needs jetting (pressure washing line) <br /> Any additional comments: <br /> • See below. <br /> Problems Identified <br /> 1) No backwater valve to protect from surcharge. <br /> Solution: Install backwater valve <br /> 2) No stair drain. <br /> Solution (A): Install one with pump that goes to backyard or <br /> Solution (B): Clean the trench drain near carport to add protection <br /> 3) Heavy grease build up in side sewer. <br /> Solution: Clean side sewer via jetting <br /> As-Built of Sewer and Plumbing <br /> See attached drawing. <br /> Comments <br /> • Installing a grinder pump would provide increased protection from sewer backups <br /> beyond the protection a backwater valve can provide. <br />
