N/A Preceding action: 2022 Vehicle and Equipment Replacement Budget Adoption Fund: 401 Fiscal summary statement: Funds used to purchase the 2022 Polaris Commercial Ranger vehicle from Raymond Handling are from 401 Utilities. The quoted price is $30,823.00 + $3,205.59 (10.4% Auburn vehicle sales tax) = $34,028.59. Year-to-date the City has spent over $250,000 on prior vehicle purchase on this contract. In compliance with the Procurement Policy, this purchase and any additional purchases from this contract will be brought before Council for award. Project summary statement: The Public Works Water Filtration Plant currently uses a 2004 Kubota ATV (S0101) to travel around the property and to the Watershed. The ATV needs to be replaced due to exceeding the criteria for miles, age, and maintenance cost. The new requested vehicle is a compact all -terrain vehicle with a cargo bed capable of hauling tools and small equipment around the plant as needed. The vehicle will also be used to perform general grounds maintenance. These vehicles are available for purchase from Raymond Handling Concepts, located in Auburn, Washington, through the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services competitively bid contract #05916/COE #2018-117. Vehicles must be purchased from the Auburn dealership for the City to use the Washington State contract. The City has an Interlocal Agreement with the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services that allows for purchases from its competitively awarded contracts in lieu of soliciting bids on our own. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Award and authorize purchase of one (1) 2022 Polaris Commercial Ranger Vehicle from Raymond Handling Concepts from the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services Contract #05916/COE #2018-117 for a total of $34,028.59 including Washington state sales tax.
