/ .2---5-
-
J - PlI L®C WORKS
June 3, 2011
Eugene Dobson
5105 View Drive
Everett, Washington 98203
Re: Plumbing Investigation at 1505 Oakes Avenue for Backwater Valve Program
,.Dear Mr. Dobson:
The City of Everett's contractor, Seattle Drain Services, inspected your property on
February 9th, 2011 to determine if a backwater valve is appropriate for you residence.
Enclosed is a summary of their findings.
Please review the report and contact us with any questions.
The inspection found that a backwater valve has already been properly installed at this
location. Therefore no further work was identified that would be eligible under the
backwater valve program. However, the report does identify other deficiencies in your
plumbing, sewer, and drainage system. These include:
• Downspouts are connected to the side sewer (problem identified #1).
• There is not a drain at the back stair entry (problem identified #2).
Storm damages related to these and other private system deficiencies are the
responsibility of the property owner. We therefore recommend that you regularly inspect
your plumbing, sewer and drainage system to ensure it is working correctly and
efficiently. You are also welcome to call us if you have any questions on maintaining your
backwater valve.
Please read over the report and if you have any questions, please contact Marla Carter
(425-257-8875, mcarter@ci.everett.wa.us) or Grant Moen (425-257-8947,
gmoencci.everett.wa.us).
Thank you for your interest in our backwater valve program.
Since ,
/d
Mark Sadler
Maintenance Superintendent
Everett Public Works
Enclosures: Plumbing, Sewer, and Drainage Investigation Report
CITY OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 • (425) 257-8800 • Fax (425) 257-8882
