This amendment makes available an additional $12,000 for Click It or Ticket Patrols not included in the original agreement. Project summary statement: The Everett Police Department works in coordination with the Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC) and other Snohomish County law enforcement agencies to conduct high visibility traffic safety enforcement activities under the Target Zero Task Force grant program. This Amendment #1 to the original 2021-2022 agreement approved by Everett City Council on October 20, 2021, provides for additional available funds and adds May 16 to June 5, 2022 "Click It or Ticket Patrols" to the list of optional high visibility emphasis events. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment #1 to the Interagency Agreement with the Washington Traffic Safety Commission regarding the 2022 High Visibility Enforcement Grant.
