4 ..,. 0hDINA SCE Nu. 3260, An Ordinance levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1950, on all taxable property, both real and personal, in said City, subject to taxation thereon, for the purpose of raising sufficient revenue to carry on the different departments of said City for the ensuing year as re- quil'ed by the Charter of the City of Everett ana the laws of the State of Washington; prescribing and apportioning the same into the different funds of said City for the fiscal year, and providing for the collection thereof. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett duly and regularly adopted as required by the law, the estimate of the amounts required to meet the public expense of said City for the ensuing year and the amounts to be raised by taxation in said City for said en- suing year from sources other than direct taxation ; and d-'EtEAS, notice that said City Council tentatively complet- ed the budget for the year 1950, and that a copy of said budget would be furnished any taxpayer of the City of Everett on application there- for, ana that the City Council of said City would meet in the Council Chamber of the City hall at 10:00 o 'clock A.M. on the 3rd day of October, 1949, for the purpose of fixing the final budget and aesig- nating the tax levy, and that any taxpayer might appear thereat and be heard for or against any part of said budget, was published in the official newspaper in all respects as required by law, and WHEREAS, the City Council did on the 3rd day of October, 1949, meet in the Council Chamber for said purpose and aid continue the hearing on said budget from: day to day to the 7th day of ucto- ber, 1949, for the purpose aforesaid, and having heard all persons ppearing in favor of or against said proposed lE; vy aid then and there make, determine and decide the amount of taxes to be placed up- on the current assessment roll to be in the sum of : 374, 974. 17. NOV ,d THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT D0ES ORDAI : Section 1: That there be, and hereby is levied upon real and personal property in the City of Everett, subject to taxation thereon, a general property tax for municipal purposes for the ensu- ing year, commencing on January 1, 1950, in the sum of. ;374, 9'74. 17.
