2.1.3 Element 3: Control Flow Rates
In order to protect the properties and waterways downstream of the project site, stormwater
discharges from the site will be controlled. In general, discharge rates of stormwater from the site
will be controlled where increases in impervious area or soil compaction during construction
could lead to downstream erosion, or where necessary to meet local agency stormwater discharge
requirements(e.g. discharge to combined sewer systems).
Will you construct stormwater retention and/or detention facilities?
Yes[ No
Will you use permanent infiltration ponds or other low impact development(example: rain
gardens,bio-retention,porous pavement)to control flow during construction?
n Yes®No
List and describe BMPs:
• Temporary Sediment Pond(BMP C241)
Installation Schedules: Install Detention Pipe per approved construction plans to be used as a
temporary sediment pond as soon as grading is complete.
Inspection and Maintenance plan: Inspect sediment levels within the detention pipe
regularly. Remove sediment if more then 1 foot has acculmulated. Remove sediment after
the site has been fully stabilized.
Responsible Staff: Contractor
Page 19
