Appendix E - Geotechnical Report
pp p
South Sound Geotechnical Consulting
September 18,2018
' Mr. Sang Ji
clo AHBL
2215 North.30th Street, Suite 200
Tacoma,Washington 98403-3350
Subject: Geotechnical Engineering Report
New 7-11 Store
7500 Hardeson Road
Everett,Washington
SSGC Project Number: 18072
Mr.Ji,
South Sound Geotechnical Consulting (SSGC) has completed a geotechnical assessment for the planned
retail development in Everett, Washington. Our services have been completed in general conformance
with our proposal P18078 (dated August 28, 2018) and authorized per signature of our agreement for
services. Our scope of services included completion of five test pits and one infiltration test on the
property, laboratory testing, engineering analyses, and preparation of this report.
PROJECT INFORMATION
' The project property encompasses approximately 1.32 acres and is southeast of the intersection of
Hardeson Road and 75th Street SW in Everett. It is currently undeveloped. Previous fill materials have
been placed on the site.
New retail development is planned and includes an approximate 6,000 square foot building in the
southwestern portion of the site, with a fuel dispensing area and parking in the northern and eastern
portions. Access to the development will be from Hardeson Road and 75th Street SW. We anticipate
conventional spread footing foundations will be used for support of the building, with concrete slab-on-
111 grade floors. Conventional asphalt pavements are expected. Infiltration facilities are proposed to support
stormwater control, if feasible
SITE CONDITIONS
' Fill has been historically placed on the site and forms the existing topography. In general, the central and
northern portions are on the order of 20 feet(+/-) higher than street grade of Hardeson Road. Fill slopes
along the western, northern and northeastern areas of the site are relatively steep. Lesser fill thickness is
apparent in the southeastern portion along the access road to the neighboring storm pond to the east, and
in the southern portion. Vegetation on the site was grass, weeds, scotch broom and berry vines at the time
of our field evaluation.
P.O.Box 39500,Lakewood,WA 98496 253 973-05.15
( 3
