The (new) building manager's
dwelling unit (located in the mezzanine) is not complying for an accessible route of travel to get into said unit.
Doug
From: Meg Haley<MHaley@everettwa.gov>
Sent: Wednesday, October 26, 2016 4:18:45 PM
To: 'Impression Design'
Cc:Jim Venturo
Subject: Follow-up on Hodges Building plans permit B1606-075
RE: Permit B1606-075
Hi Doug,
Can we discuss the following comments in the field tomorrow? Please see attached corrections letter.
01. Can the work from permit B1606-032 be shown as not new (existing) on the second submittal? Otherwise the
difference between the scope of work in the first and deferred submittal becomes more difficult to plan review
and inspect. Ideally, there would just be the one submittal, if that is a possibility at this point.
a. I have not yet received a response to the corrections letter for permit B1606-032, or the e-mail regarding the
two separate permits from August.
2. The new residential unit should be a Type A unit, per IBC section 1107.6.2.1.1. Bathroom details, door swings,
and all requirements of ICC A117.1-2009, section 1003 should be shown on the drawings. The exterior
accessible route to the new unit should be shown on the drawings.
3. New work will require more detail than what is currently shown, for all new construction.
More detail is required for the restaurant for plan review, to include the location of kitchen, furniture, bar, Type
4. e
hood, etc. Otherwise, please show this space as a future tenant space on this submittal.
Meg ttaLelu, RA
1
