<br /> Alterations to a single family residence being done without required permits and
<br /> approvals. This is a violation of: IRC R113.1, Unlawful acts, which reads;
<br /> It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to erect, construct, alter,
<br /> extend, repair, move, remove, demolish or occupy any building, structure or
<br /> equipment regulated by this code, or cause the same to be done, in conflict with or
<br /> in violation of any of the provisions of this code.
<br /> IRC R105.1 Permit required, which reads;
<br /> Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair,
<br /> move, demolish or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect,
<br /> install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas,
<br /> mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by this code,
<br /> or cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the building
<br /> official and obtain the required permit.
<br /> Excessive accumulation of scrap wood debris, plastic buckets and containers, a toilet
<br /> and miscellaneous junk and trash observed on the property. This is a violation of:
<br /> EMC 8.20.020 (A) Nuisances, which reads;
<br /> No person owning, leasing, renting, occupying or having charge or possession of
<br /> any property in the city, including vacant lots, shall maintain or allow to be
<br /> maintained on such property except as may be allowed by any other city ordinance,
<br /> any of the following conditions visible from any public street, alley or other public or
<br /> private property,
<br /> A. Junk, trash, litter, boxes, discarded lumber or salvage materials or other
<br /> similar materials in any front yard, side yard, rear yard or vacant lot;
<br /> 4. Corrective Action, Deadline
<br /> The respondent must complete the following corrective actions to eliminate the
<br /> above listed conditions:
<br /> a. Stop all alteration work to the single-family residence immediately.
<br /> b. Apply for and obtain all of the necessary and required permits to bring the
<br /> residence into compliance with the Everett Municipal Code and remove
<br /> and properly dispose of scrap wood debris, plastic buckets and containers,
<br /> toilet and miscellaneous junk and trash by February 22, 2013.
<br /> c. Work to bring the structure into compliance must be completed by
<br /> August 22, 2013.Completion of work includes obtaining and passing any
<br /> final inspections lawfully required by the City of Everett Building Official.
<br /> d. Permits may be applied for at the permit Center 3200 Cedar Street.
