Depth at city sewer main: 13'9" at city main. Large drop off at city right of way: 4'3" <br /> deep at property line. <br /> Does side sewer have slope: Yes, aside from a small belly in the line from 22-27 <br /> feet from access clean out. <br /> Sewer Length: 76 feet <br /> Condition: Generally good condition except for a severe break in line at 57 feet from <br /> access cleanout that needs to be addressed. <br /> Backwater Valve: <br /> Backwater Valve recommended: Ye:: <br /> Location of backwater valve: 4 feet South of the North East corner of home, 6 feet East, <br /> 3'5" deep. Marked with flag and paint. <br /> Problems Identified <br /> 1) Severe break in pipe at 57 feet from access clean out allowing debris into line <br /> and being used as an access way for rats into sewer line. Unable to determine if <br /> break was caused by fault in pipe or created by rats. <br /> Solution: Excavate and repair break and remove rat presence. <br /> 2) House is not protect�d against surcharge event. <br /> Solution: Install backwater valve at recommended location. <br /> 3) Basement has open pipe floor drain in North East corner <br /> Solution: Install proper floor drain with ball check. <br /> a�� <br />
