On Oct. 27, 2021, Council adopted Resolution No. 7709 to designate that the City intends to use $1,000,000 of these funds for the Everett Forward Grant (EFG) Program for one-time grants to businesses and other applicants to move Everett's economy forward out of the pandemic. Since this EFG Contract exceeds $50,000, it requires Council approval. If the DEA EFG Contract is approved, $58,000 of the $1,000,000 designated for EFG will be used with no General Fund fiscal impact. Project summary statement: The Everett Forward Grant project will provide free consulting services and sub -grants for eligible downtown brick -and -mortar businesses to enhance profitability, customer traffic, and street - appeal. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Everett Forward Grant Agreement with the Downtown Everett Association in the amount of $58,000.
